Nyingma

AN interesting video on Nyingma Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

I can not say I am keen on the way they have presented some of the facts, plus they confuse Bodichitta and Boddisatva!

But for someone with no idea about this it gives insight into the progressive nine stages of the path.

But this does vary very much between individual lineages let alone the 4 different schools of Tibetan Buddhism.

I think for those with a better understanding go straight to Dudjom Rinpoches description and study of Nyingma available from Snow Lion.

Enjoy:

Liberation

What is there to do, with all this madness! Well you can work on liberation or get ready to come back and do it all again!

So in the spirit of gaining liberation here is a nice video I saw on rumsoakedfist.com

History of Mankind

More on Ancient History or 'Alternative History'.

Showing the proofs of our planet and our race that dates back far further than what the establishment will accept.

This is NOT a Police state, ok!

Its an oldie but a goody!

But please realise that this IS NOT a police state ok.

Just so we clear.

Ancient Civilisation

Erik Von Danken (Spelling?) started it or at least made it famous but the ancient astronaut theory is well known but laughed at by most.

Hope fully one day if we survive the next few years we can start to look at all these things with the kind of money they pump into 'Cancer Research', don't get me started on that.

Check it out.

Tough Guy

According to the latest on toughguy.co.uk they are close to getting a franchise agreement set up so that the even can be held in different areas of the world with a Championship in the UK at the original site in Wolverhampton.

If this happens it will be great its such a positive event and the man behind it Mr Mouse is a very spiritual, focused individual, I should know I had lunch with him and his wife at his house. Good memories.

If you are not familiar with this then check out the site or watch this video of someone's first time at the event. If you are in the UK go for it.

More Yoga

Here is another great post from Buddha Torrents. Head over there to read the full write up on this Yoga Book. I am staying on the theme of real yoga as it is so in depth and such a treasure its a shame to see the shallow lycra clad practice that its becoming or become!

THE STUDY AND PRACTICE OF YOGA Volume 2 - Swami Krishnananda
Patanjali's Yoga Sutras are aphoristic prescriptions in the form of pithy one-liners for leading the mind into deeper states of absorption in the state of Samadhi, where the individual merges with the Absolute.A tranquil mind is a pre-requisite for attaining the higher states of awareness and the Yoga Sutras are a graduated manual for the achievement of this goal.

Practicality

If you are in a real life situation, or if you have been in one you know how quick it happens. Gross motor skill efficiency is vastly reduced so your movement needs to be simple, practical and effective.

Check it out:

They wouldnt do that!

Check this out this one video showing the degree of propaganda and the actual testing that has revealed to have been carried out on US citizens.
The second video is the latest from Alex Jones.

New from Alex Jones

Again do not laugh till you check out sources for yourself, its easy to say rubbish bit look at all the news networks out there look at the released papers from the government agency's in question and put 2 + 2 together yourself. I don't usually post these as if interested you can check them yourself. But I wanted to put these up as so much info and ridiculous infringements upon our freedom is going on all the time that if you missed it before then here is another chance.

Tibetan Yoga

Where do I start!

There is so much as in Tinet you have a melting pot of what came over from India, China, and what was left from the Bonpo tradition which in itself I beleive as do many others that the Bonpos where influenced from the Persian and Egyption traditions.
So when you say Tibetan Yoga there is just so much!

Remember Yoga means union with all that is (loose translation!).

Here a few links as there is to much to post, some of these are PDF's so please support the authors if you have the money go buy it and have the PDF as a backup.

Yogas of dream and sleep

Yoga

I was chatting to a friend the other day, my ex PA, yes I had a PA! We were talking about Yoga and she wanted some more info so here is a few bts I have put together. I cant claim its all 100% accurate as with all of these old schools they all have there own tradition of doing things and what they think it right and wrong so its very much what ever suits you. Here is a bit on the Indian and Tibetan traditions.

The eight limbs (ashtanga) of Raja Yoga
The eight "limbs" or steps prescribed in the second pada of the Yoga Sutras are: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi.
Ashtanga yoga consists of the following steps: The first five are called external aids to Yoga (bahiranga sadhana)
Yama refers to the five abstentions. These are the same as the five vows of Jainism.
Ahimsa: non-violence, inflicting no injury or harm to others or even to one's ownself, it goes as far as nonviolence in thought, word and deed.
Satya: truth in word & thought.
Asteya: non-covetousness, to the extent that one should not even desire something that is not his own.
Brahmacharya: abstain from sexual intercourse; celibacy in case of unmarried people and monogamy in case of married people. Even this to the extent that one should not possess any unholy thoughts towards any other man or woman except one's own spouse. It's common to associate Brahmacharya with celibacy.
Aparigraha: non-possessiveness
Niyama refers to the five observances
Shaucha: cleanliness of body & mind.
Santosha: satisfaction; satisfied with what one has.
Tapas: austerity and associated observances for body discipline & thereby mental control.
Svadhyaya: study of the Vedic scriptures to know about God and the soul, which leads to introspection on a greater awakening to the soul and God within,
Ishvarapranidhana: surrender to (or worship of) God.
Asana: Discipline of the body: rules and postures to keep it disease-free and for preserving vital energy. Correct postures are a physical aid to meditation, for they control the limbs and nervous system and prevent them from producing disturbances.
Pranayama: control of breath. Beneficial to health, steadies the body and is highly conducive to the concentration of the mind.
Pratyahara: withdrawal of senses from their external objects.
The last three levels are called internal aids to Yoga (antaranga sadhana)
Dharana: concentration of the citta upon a physical object, such as a flame of a lamp, the mid point of the eyebrows, or the image of a deity.
Dhyana: steadfast meditation. Undisturbed flow of thought around the object of meditation (pratyayaikatanata). The act of meditation and the object of meditation remain distinct and separate.
Samadhi: oneness with the object of meditation. There is no distinction between act of meditation and the object of meditation. Samadhi is of two kinds:
Samprajnata Samadhi conscious samadhi. The mind remains concentrated (ekagra) on the object of meditation, therefore the consciousness of the object of meditation persists. Mental modifications arise only in respect of this object of meditation.
This state is of four kinds:
Savitarka: the Citta is concentrated upon a gross object of meditation such as a flame of a lamp, the tip of the nose, or the image of a deity.
Savichara: the Citta is concentrated upon a subtle object of meditation , such as the tanmatras
Sananda: the Citta is concentrated upon a still subtler object of meditation, like the senses.
Sasmita: the Citta is concentrated upon the ego-substance with which the self is generally identified.
Asamprajnata Samadhi supraconscious. The citta and the object of meditation are fused together. The consciousness of the object of meditation is transcended. All mental modifications are checked (niruddha), although latent impressions may continue.
Combined simultaneous practice of Dhāraṇā, Dhyāna & Samādhi is referred to as Samyama and is considered a tool of achieving various perfections, or Siddhis.

Interesting words for a Presidential Candidate

Here is some interesting opinions who even Mr and Mrs Normal should be able to relate to a little bit. During the election campaigns in 2000 he spoke very well and came across as an intelligent and realistic competition, but of course he wasn't part of 'the' club.

Here is a link to a good article on his recent thoughts and also here is a video with him saying it all (sound quality bad so text might be better) gets interesting from 1.47.

Philadelphia Experiment...Part 1

Hi following on from Tesla here is some work that relied on his and Einsteins apparently unfinished 'Unified Field Theory'.

Please comment and let me know what you think.

Nikola Tesla - An amazing man

I heard about him when I was young and got a book of his patents when I was a teenager on one of my regular hunts in the bookshops.

Its absolutely amazing what he managed to come up with during his life I was always wonder where and may be who he was accessing to get this information.

Look into his life...

Wider scope for the blog

Hi all this is just to let you know that as life changes so does the scope of the blog and what will be covered here.

I want to bring in a lot of suppressed information that is floating about and put that on here as it all links in. Our Spirituality, our relationships, our knowledge of Earth, our 'rulers', the illusions here on earth, the big illusions that try to solve in Dzogchen, it all links.

So consider this a heads up.

Have fun and please check out some of the blogs I posted on the right hand side there is some great stuff regularly updated.

Help out Antonio graceffo

Hi all.

I have recently done a interview with Antonio (the Brooklyn Monk) www.speakingadventure.com the video footage will be released soon, I found it very interesting we did it via video as even though we are both in Taiwan neither of us have any money so couldn't make the trip between Tainan and Yangmei!

I will soon have a donate area for our projects but would like to appeal on Antonio's behalf, he is doing great work on human rights issues, he is stepping up and in some cases putting himself in danger to bring the truth out so please if you can visit his site and donate to help him. You can either donate, buy his books from Amazon, or if you have equipment like HD cameras etc send him one! It will be going to a good home for good causes!

Here is an example of the work in Shan land:

Tactical Workshop - New York

Here is a trailer for the upcoming Tactical Workshop in New York.

Whether you are are in New York or not its nice to see these arts keeping there practicality, something I see less and less out here in Asia.

Something not to just dismiss but look at the facts

Only slightly off topic as how this lays out effects everything we may or may not want to do on planet earth.

Another update of HH Penor Rinpoche

Here is the latest news on HH Penor Rinpoche taken from Pathgate.org.
His Holiness Penor Rinpoche remained in thugdam for six and a half days. On the morning of Friday 3rd April at 8.00 am Indian time, he released his body from meditation and entered Parinirvana in his own private quarters at the Namdroling Monastery. Lama Dondrup Dorje was one of a handful of Lamas, Tulkus and Khenpos who were able to offer homage and khata to His Holiness' body inside his private quarters. His Holiness looked totally at peace after remaining in Thugdam for nearly one week. His face was one of radiance and his body produced the scent of sandalwood which permeated the whole room and its surroundings. The fragrance was so tangible in the air that it could be sensed even at the garden outside. The sweet fragrance of sandlewood is the sign that symbolises the highest level of pure morality that His Holiness has perfected. Immediately afterwards on the same morning, His Holiness's body was prepared for preservation so that the devotees can pay their respects to His Holiness and receive blessings from his holy body.

The board and faculty of the Namdroling Monastery has announced that the Blessing Ceremony will begin on 9th April (the full moon day of the 2nd Tibetan month) with rituals and a ceremonial procession to carry Kyabje Penor Rinpoche's body into the Zangdok Palri Temple at Namdroling Monastery. It is expected that His Holiness' body will remain in the temple for a month. All Palyul students and Dharma friends are welcome to attend this ceremony or to come afterwards during the 49-day period to receive His Holiness Penor Rinpoche's blessings.

Meanwhile, all students are advised to make light offering for His Holiness. They should also do the Vajrasattva practice, and recite the Narak Kong Shak, The King of Aspirational Prayers and Prayers for the deceased. To listen to Narak Kong Shak and The King of Aspirational Prayers, and to download the text, please visit Tibetan Prayer and Mantra.

His Holiness Penor Rinpoche was born in the year of the Water Monkey (1932) in the Powo region in southeastern Tibet. In 1959, His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche decided to relocate to India for the sake of preserving Buddha Doctrine for the benefit of all sentient beings. Accompanied by a small group of monks, he settled in the region of Bylakuppe in Mysore, South India.

In the year of the Water Rabbit (1963), under the personal supervision of His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche, the Thekchog Namdrol Shedrub Dargye Ling (Namdroling Monastery) commenced its first phase of construction. Since that time, under the direction of His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche, Namdroling Monastery has become the largest Tibetan Nyingma monastery in India with an ordained sangha of over six thousand monks and over one thousand nuns.

Namdroling Monastery now includes numerous temples and stupas, primary schools, dratsang and shedras, a retreat centre, a nunnery, a guest house, an old people’s home and a hospital.
Apart from propagating Buddha Doctrine in India and in Tibet, His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche has established many Dharma Centres around the world, which he visited regularly to promote Dharma activity for the benefit of all sentient beings. His Holiness is universally revered for his loving kindness and compassion, pure upholding of the Vinaya, the code of pure conduct and ceaseless dedication to the welfare of all beings. He will live forever in our hearts

Bruce on 'Taoist Meditation Transcending Forward Based Perception'

More great stuff from Bruce, I am still waiting for him to do the kind of exhaustive book he did for the internal arts for the Taoist cultivation and Neigung. Who knows it may come until then enjoy the tit bits on his youtube channel:
